"Being a professional" Christoph Niemann

I kept seeing his work all over the internet well before I first heard him speak. His brush-stroke figures, the cyclist on the car’s window, the dreamy New York skyline, and of course the illustration extended objects. Then this conversation. Then the Abstract episode. In both of those appearances, Christoph Niemann generously shares his daily practice that ultimately leads to all of these wonderful outcomes. His process that leads to work of unembarrassing level.

Niemann has an endless list of credits and clients to his name. Reading him talk about the anxieties and struggles of a creative life is reassuring. It can be tough because of the seriousness around it. His confessions, whether through his work or spoken anecdotes, are brutal and still full of jest. That duo is very much the essence of creating digital files for a living.
